Record Turn-out For Public Consultation Exercise/
Unprecedented numbers of residents in Princes Risborough, Bucks turned up for a 2 day consultation forum on 16 & 17 January to comment on early sketches of the proposed development of 700 dwellings at park Mill Farm, an area allocated for housing in the local plan.
Over 10% of the population attended, with a higher than normal percentage leaving completed feedback forms. The outline application for the site will be submitted in mid February.

Council Leaders Cut The Turf
News from ‘The Bridge’, this is an extract from a Kent County Council press release:
“Work is getting under way on Kent County Council's first purpose-built lifelong learning and community campus for The Bridge development near Dartford. VIP guests got together for a photocall to mark the start in earnest on Friday.... KCC Deputy Leader Alex King and Dartford Council Leader Jeremy Kite dug the first turf. Guests at Friday's ceremony included the interim Deputy Chair of Governors for the new school Bart Woodhouse and his three-year-old son Jacob Woodhouse, Bridge resident Debbie Hooker and her three-year-old son Samuel, Tina McFadzean from the Kent-based architects Hazle McCormack Young and the contractor Mansell's Regional Director for Kent, Phil Sims.

Structure Takes Shape
The light-weight steel frame (engineered by David Dexter Associates) in mostly in place and the first floor slabs are being poured. The concrete on the ground floor slabs includes Macro Fibre Reinforcement which replaces the traditional steel reinforcement and is therefore faster on site.
