Newman Building Opens For New Term
The latest extension to the London Oratory School, The Newman Building, opened to pupils today. The two storey building provides classrooms and conference facilities at ground floor and further clasrooms and staff facilities at first floor.

St Thomas Of Canterbury Catholic Primary School/ New Music Block/
Received Planning Permission 26 August
A new music facility extension to the existing Primary school including a large music room, a smaller group room and two practice rooms.
It is due to start on site in Nov 2008

Crockham Primary School/
New Hall Takes Shape
The new extension has been designed to be as self-contained as possible, so that it is directly part of the existing school building during the day, but in the evenings can be used by the local community or others.
The hall will be a multifunctional space, large enough for 140 pupils to come together for collective worship and eating. It will also be used for PE classes, after-school clubs and evening meetings.

The Bridge Community Hub/ Dartford/
Starts On Site
Work is set to start on site in September 2008 on the Community Hub and Learning Campus. Part of the Bridge regeneration project in the Thames Gateway, the first to start in Kent since the Government launched its "Sustainable Communities; Building for the Future" Campaign.
As well as a new Primary School the Hub will feature facilities for the wider community including a youth centre and nursery, adult learning and Kent Adult Social Services.

St Gregory's Music Centre/
Brings Music To Canterbury
A new 1,660sq music centre for Canterbury Christ Church University is set to become the first purpose built music centre in Kent. The structure will house a 350 seat performance space, recording studio and music practice rooms, these rooms will also double as space for music therapy.
The project has just received planning consent and is set to go on site in late 2009 and is expected to open in 2011.

Windchimes Childrens Centre/
Royal Opening
On 15 July 2008 HMR The Princess Royal opened Windchimes, a resource centre for disabled children from East Kent.
The Centre has been designed especially to meet the needs of children with a broad range of disabilities. The facilities include a spa pool, sensory room, soft play area and attached to the centre is a six bedroomed house, The Beach Hut, where children with the most complex needs can stay for up to three nights. This is a much needed resource, where both children and their parents can meet with other families.
