Westergate Business Centre Brighton/

Westergate Business Centre is a regeneration project carried out with Brighton & Hove City
Council. It created new 90 jobs and comprises 1,940sq.m. of light industrial space, designed with recycled materials wherever possible – including worktops made of recycled coffee cups. It uses a very high percentage of renewable energy.

The project is an exemplar for the council,
underlining their commitment to sustainability and showing the approach they require from developers for this building type.

Westergate has nine units in two blocks finished as shells, and one fully fitted out, sub-divided into nine units. It met a BREEAM ‘excellent’ rating and served as a pilot project for the South East England
Development Agency ‘Sustainability Checklist’.
