At the core of the energy saving strategy is the use of the TermoDeck system for heating and cooling, using the pre-cast concrete floor. TermoDeck is a fan-assisted system that uses the high thermal mass of the hollow core floor slabs.

Wrapping round the east façade and the main roof
is a shell of Corus Kalzip aluminium standing seam sheeting. When used in combination with a high level of mineral fibre insulation, it acts as a highly insulated blanket.
